PERMAFROST, MN (COMEDY) PERMAFROST, MN is an unincorporated (and entirely concocted) town on the logging road, off the gravel road, off the county road from Big Falls, in Koochiching County, Minnesota, on Dinner Creek. It went into the unusually hard winter of 1887-88, and never came out. Oh, it isn't frozen in time, it's just frozen. And the inhabitants, well let’s just say they must be a little nuts to live in a remote and frozen place like Permafrost, MN.

A ghost story set on the wild Atlantic coast of North Devon, told through the eyes of Jenny, a girl of nearly nineteen, whose recently deceased grandmother, Mary, has bequeathed her ‘Windover,’ the cottage where she is staying with her father and his girlfriend during the summer vacation.

Before long Jenny starts to be troubled by visions of two teenage girls, and learns, from a photograph taken in 1934, that these girls are her grandmother, Mary and her friend Cathy. As the days go by and Jenny  becomes increasingly disturbed by the visions, she befriends Stephen, a neighbouring farmer and tries to enlist his help in making sense of what’s happening to her. Stephen, however, is evasive and little by little Jenny finds herself drawn into the tragic events that occurred nearly eighty years earlier.

Starring Emma Kelly, Sean Baker, Richard Holt, Colleen Prendergast, Beth Eyre, Amy Raine Jackson, Richard Reed and Pamela Binns

The rogue comet, Skippy, is headed right for Big City in this superhero mockumentary. The mayor is looking for a Super Hero to save the city. Most of them seem to be busy, or indisposed at the moment. Super Pal is discussed, but doesn't seem to be their first choice. We hear about Super Pal from his friends, his agent, his girlfriend, and find out about his childhood. (And the writers said, "We didn't even know we were making fun of FEMA.") Recorded at the Mark Time Radio Show at CONvergence, 2005.

Following a revolutionary uprising in her country, “Battle Cries” tells the story of Amina, who flees the chaos of her home town, leaving her mother and brother behind in the increasingly volatile city. The two women’s accounts of their different experiences are interspersed with extracts from the Mu’allaqa of ‘Antara – a poem embroidered on a cloth of gold and publically displayed in Mecca in the 7th century.

Battle Cries explores the themes of war, love and separation which are common to both the poets of 7th century Arabia and the more recent experience of the populations in the Middle East and North Africa. A passionate writer of radio drama, Jane has lived and studied extensively in the Middle East. The Arab Spring of 2011 inspired her to write a script, which would combine the traditional tribal poetry of pre-Islamic Arabia, with a female perspective of the uprising.

Starring : Naveed Khan, Alyssa Kyria, Fiz Marcus, Daniel Rodrigues and Nadia Nadif
