THE BIRD AND THE SNAKE, adapted by Pete Lutz from a story by Clem Hanlon. NARADA RADIO COMPANY
RATED R. The Series Finale of Pulp-Pourri Theatre, "The Bird and the Snake" comes from a 1959 issue of Adam Magazine, a slick "girlie-mag", so not technically a pulp story, yet Clem Hanlon's tale of a Polish-American cop in Chi-town really smacks of the pulp style. I'm proud of this final series episode, and feel that with it, we sent Pulp-Pourri Theatre out with a real bang, and not a whimper. I hope you feel the same after hearing it.
Our theme, and transitional music, was specially composed for this episode by Katharine Seaton. I absolutely love what she did here.
