EDICT ZERO – FIS EPISODE 105 (SCI-FI) MATURE AUDIENCES In response to the cataclysmic events on New Year's Day of the year 2415, the FIS assembled a task force at their headquarters in Capitol City to find the responsible party, eliminate the danger posed to the public, and deliver justice for the victims. In acknowledgement of the severity of the threat a special unit of the task force has been authorized to pursue unusual leads and the alternate outside-the-box theories those leads may support. "Edict Zero - FIS" focuses on this small team of special agents and their investigations, which will put them at odds with the highest authority of humankind: Edict One. A ghost story set on the wild Atlantic coast of North Devon, told through the eyes of Jenny, a girl of nearly nineteen, whose recently deceased grandmother, Mary, has bequeathed her ‘Windover,’ the cottage where she is staying with her father and his girlfriend during the summer vacation.

Before long Jenny starts to be troubled by visions of two teenage girls, and learns, from a photograph taken in 1934, that these girls are her grandmother, Mary and her friend Cathy. As the days go by and Jenny  becomes increasingly disturbed by the visions, she befriends Stephen, a neighbouring farmer and tries to enlist his help in making sense of what’s happening to her. Stephen, however, is evasive and little by little Jenny finds herself drawn into the tragic events that occurred nearly eighty years earlier.

The rogue comet, Skippy, is headed right for Big City in this superhero mockumentary. The mayor is looking for a Super Hero to save the city. Most of them seem to be busy, or indisposed at the moment. Super Pal is discussed, but doesn't seem to be their first choice. We hear about Super Pal from his friends, his agent, his girlfriend, and find out about his childhood. (And the writers said, "We didn't even know we were making fun of FEMA.") Recorded at the Mark Time Radio Show at CONvergence, 2005.

Following a revolutionary uprising in her country, “Battle Cries” tells the story of Amina, who flees the chaos of her home town, leaving her mother and brother behind in the increasingly volatile city. The two women’s accounts of their different experiences are interspersed with extracts from the Mu’allaqa of ‘Antara – a poem embroidered on a cloth of gold and publically displayed in Mecca in the 7th century.

Battle Cries explores the themes of war, love and separation which are common to both the poets of 7th century Arabia and the more recent experience of the populations in the Middle East and North Africa. A passionate writer of radio drama, Jane has lived and studied extensively in the Middle East. The Arab Spring of 2011 inspired her to write a script, which would combine the traditional tribal poetry of pre-Islamic Arabia, with a female perspective of the uprising.

Starring : Naveed Khan, Alyssa Kyria, Fiz Marcus, Daniel Rodrigues and Nadia Nadif

BLACK JACK JUSTICE 12 – JUSTICE AND THE HAPPY ENDING (MYSTERY) Every man has his ghosts. Old square-jaw didn't figure he had any right to expect to be the exception. But sometimes the past takes on flesh and looks you in the eye... and things can never be quite the same afterwards. When that moment comes for Jack and Trixie, will it bring down the whole house of cards, coffee and gaudy metaphors; or will it re-introduce those most contradictory concepts - Justice and the Happy Ending?Decoder Ring Theatre

BLACK JACK JUSTICE 11 – JUSTICE IN LOVE AND WAR (MYSTERY) They say all's fair in love and war, and Jack and Trixie are about to put that to the test. When Jack finds a drowned rat of a piano player who's both struck by love and several dozen gangsters, love and war don't seem like such different concepts anymore. It's a mad charge into the lion's den, all in the name of romance. Even the hard-boiled have their soft spots. Decoder Ring Theatre

Drummer Crowley is finally able to build the house he always dreamed of, a geodesic dome in the woods. That's because they finally released on CD the three albums his band, Bent Sunshine, made back in the Sixties. So he's enlisted his son and daughter-in-law to help, and hired a carpenter. But now they are finding that the inside of the dome seems to somewhere else, Drummer is feeling better than he has in years, and that carpenter, well, she's starting to look awfully cute.

They used to be big stars on the radio - Peter Galaxy and his sidekick, Dr. Simon. Now they're just two retired actors playing cards on the front porch and riding herd on the grandchildren. BLACK JACK JUSTICE 10 – HAMMER OF JUSTICE (MYSTERY) Jack may not know much about art, but he knows what he likes... and what he doesn't. He doesn't much like Nick Franklin's looks, or his self-satisfied grin or his manicured fingernails. What he does like is a client that can afford a fat insurance policy and a couple of gumshoes to go with it. But can Jack and Trixie fit in with the arty set enough to protect Franklin's latest "discovery"? Where will they stand when the Hammer of Justice falls? Decoder Ring Theatre

BLACK JACK JUSTICE 09 – NO JUSTICE (MYSTERY) It was the end of an uncharacteristic flurry of activity at the mighty world headquarters of Jack Justice Investigations. Trixie was crossing the final i's and dotting the final t's when she looked up and realized that Jack was nowhere to be found. And he'd taken their old snitch Freddie the Finger Hawthorne with him into the ether. Sometimes a gal's just got to look a gift horse in the mouth, and if she ever wants to see old square-jaw sashay in the front door again, this is one of those times. But can she and her "new partner" keep away from each other's throats long enough to find the old one, or is this the beginning of life with... No Justice? Decoder Ring Theatre

IDIOT BOX (SUSPENSE) LANGUAGE In a dark, dystopian near future, reality TV takes a dark turn to boost the ratings, as it becomes apparent that no matter what the public votes, something terrible is going to happen. Yet, all is not quite what it seems. 19 Nocturne Boulevard

BLACK JACK JUSTICE 08 – JUSTICE AND THE DELUGE (MYSTERY) It was the third straight day of rain that did it. People had been cooped up for days, riding out the storm, and Black Jack is sure that a flurry of human misery, or as he likes to call it - rent money is on its way. But when he turns out to be more right than either he or Trixie could have guessed, they find themselves on an island in the middle of the city, with the water rising fast. An island of the "gaudy, hard-boiled metaphor" variety, admittedly; but sometimes that's the way it goes. Decoder Ring Theatre

BLACK JACK JUSTICE 07 – JUSTICE BE DONE (MYSTERY) Mordecai Brasseau had been nothing but bad luck for Jack Justice Investigations since the first time he walked through the door. A nice man, but a jinx - quite possibly the unluckiest man in the world. Each time Jack and Trixie took on a case for him, they swore it would be the last. Sooner or later they had to be right... and the registered letter inviting them to the reading of Mordecai's will suggested that time had finally come.... Or, maybe not. Decoder Ring Theatre
