Ask Answergirl is a unique eleven-part collaborative audio drama experience created by Central Michigan University College of the Arts and Media faculty and students. IN THIS EPISODE: It's a race against the clock as Zina works to unmask her cyberstalker in time to help Jordan expose the shady dealings of Dean Tukeva. Will Answergirl get the answers she's been looking for? Will the Pathfinder crew wind up with a big scoop, or even more problems?

“By day, Zina Roberts is The Pathfinder’s advice columnist Answergirl, but by night --- actually she turns in pretty early, because during the day she’s also Compass Point State University’s secret weapon against cheating and honor code violations. What will she expose this week? Why don’t we Ask Answergirl…” EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, WILL ANDERSON

WELCOME TO THE PILOT EPISODE OF A VERY SPECIAL SERIES...

"Adventures of the Federated Tec"! A series of 8 initial episodes of 7 dramatized stories featuring Dashiell Hammett's nameless detective. We call him the Federated Tec ("Tec" being short for detective), but you probably know him as something else. We've chosen Hammett's first few stories that have moved into the public domain, and have done our best to stay true to the originals -- and why not? The originals are just fine, as far as we're concerned.

We proudly present episode one, "Arson Plus", Hammett's first published story, from 1923. We hope you enjoy it and will join us for future episodes.

In his first adventure, the Tec is called out to Sacramento County to help the Sheriff's Dept. with a strange arson case -- one that involves the death of a man who made a deep impression on everyone he met -- but whom nobody seemed to truly know. An exciting first outing for our unnamed detective!

ADVENTURES OF THE FEDERATED TEC WAS CONCEIVED BY PETE LUTZ AND DEVELOPED BY PETE LUTZ AND MARK SLADE. "Arson Plus" was dramatized, directed and produced by Pete Lutz. Mixing and post-production was by Daniel French of Fishbonius Sound Design.

THE FEDERATED TEC, DEPUTIES McHALE and MACKLIN, the ESTATE AGENT, SERGEANT O'GAR, and the NIGHT CLERK: Pete Lutz

SHERIFF TARR: Paul Arbisi

DEPUTY McCLUMP: Mark Kalita

This first installment of the Cliff Weller Mystery series, “The Geminus Conspiracy”, opens with down-on-his-luck Cliff Weller drinking his blues away at Nicky Congo’s Bar. But the gearshift of his luck slams into fast forward when a baffling but attractive woman seeks his help in locating a runaway teenager. Maybe it was the wad of cash she flashed or the scent of her perfume, either way, much to Cliff’s better judgment he was compelled to take on the case. But of course not all is what it seems to be. Featuring British voice actor David Ault as Cliff Weller.
